Local authorities in Oman’s port city of Duqm used this week’s Duqm Economic Forum to sign a spree of deals with companies developing projects at the industrial hub. With eight agreements signed on 16 October, Muscat continues to tout the area’s role as a future national driver of economic growth and an internationally competitive source for renewable energies.

The forum was organized by the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones & Free Zones (OPAZ). OPAZ signed the eight agreements with a list of companies looking to develop low-carbon hydrogen, ammonia, and steel projects in the hub. (CONTINUED - 998 WORDS)
