The Saudi Energy Ministry’s Renewable Energy Project Development Office (Repdo) has shortlisted two bids for a 300MW solar PV plant. Saudi Arabia’s first utility-scale solar project to be built at Sakaka in the northern Al-Jawf region forms part of Round 1 of the kingdom’s National Renewables Energy Program (NREP).

Shortlisted are local private energy developer Acwa Power, which bid alone, and a consortium of Japan’s Marubeni and local firm Juffali Energy & Utilities. (CONTINUED - 814 WORDS)
