Despite the country’s dwindling gas surplus (see main story), Egypt’s gas import options are set to be narrowed with the country not renewing the lease on an LNG floating storage & regassification unit (FSRU).

The 750mn cfd ‘BW Singapore’, which has been moored at Egypt’s Red Sea port of Ain Sukhna since October 2015 has been purchased by Italian gas distribution firm Snam and will leave Egypt for Ravenna when its current lease expires in November 2023. (CONTINUED - 378 WORDS)
