Infinity Power and Egyptian firm Hassan Allam Utilities Energy signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with state transmission firm EETC on 1 September for a new 1GW wind farm at Ras Shukeir on Egypt’s Gulf of Suez.
The project will cover around 143km² in one of Egypt’s strongest wind corridors and, according to the developers, generate sufficient electricity to power more than 1.2mn homes. (CONTINUED - 195 WORDS)
