QatarEnergy signed two sales and purchase agreements (SPA) on 29 November with US independent ConocoPhillips for up to 2mn t/y of LNG to be delivered ex-ship (DES) to Germany’s Brunsbüttel terminal. The signing marks QatarEnergy’s first long-term European LNG contract in over a decade. This will see gas from its North Field East (NFE) and North Field South (NFS) expansion projects delivered for 15 years from 2026.

QatarEnergy CEO Saad Sherida al-Kaabi said “we are pleased to sign these agreements with our partner ConocoPhillips to supply up to 2mn t/y of LNG to Germany from the two QatarEnergy-ConocoPhillips joint ventures in the NFE and NFS LNG expansion projects respectively, starting in 2026.” (CONTINUED - 1114 WORDS)
