Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih says the ministry’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) unit will issue a request for qualification on 20 February for 700MW of solar and wind power capacity.

The tender will cover 300MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity to be built at Sakaka in the northern Al-Jawf region and 400MW of wind capacity at Midyan in the northwestern Tabuk region.
