The Khor Mor gas field produced a record 423mn cfd in 2022, providing key gas feedstock to power plants in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Output edged up from the previous year’s 420mn cfd and debottlenecking work means that a further record is on the cards this year, with output in January coming close to 500mn cfd.

The UAE’s Dana Gas, which alongside compatriot Crescent Petroleum operates the field on behalf of the Pearl Petroleum consortium, announced its Q4 results on 8 February. The firm reported net Khor Mor output of 148mn cfd natural gas, 5,100 b/d condensate and 375 t/d of LPG for 2022, equating to 423mn cfd natural gas, 14,600 b/d condensate and around 1,000 t/d of LPG on a gross basis.
