Latest import data for South Korea and Taiwan shows little sign of a post-Covid rebound in crude and condensate imports.

South Korea imported 2.54mn b/d in August, just 70,000 b/d above June’s six-year low. Average imports of 2.71mn b/d for the first eight months of 2020 are down 9% year-on-year, a clear indication that oil demand in Asia’s fourth largest economy remains badly depressed by Covid-19.
