Repsol is one of the leading IOCs operating in Libya, with substantial stakes in the prolific Sharara fields. Production from Sharara reached a 15-year high in 2025, and Repsol says output was especially strong in Q3.
The Spanish company released its Q3 results on 29 October, noting better performance and improved security conditions in Libya for the quarter. Repsol is the lead foreign partner and operator of the Akakus Oil Operations JV that partners Libya’s NOC (51%) across blocks NC-186 and NC-115 in the southwestern Sharara blocks (see map).
