During UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan State Visit to Germany on 9-11 September, the two countries signed a string of economic deals. Abu Dhabi announced plans to invest €40bn ($46bn) in Germany across a number of sectors including “industry, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and energy,” according to UAE state news agency WAM. This is on top of €34bn ($39bn) in existing investment.
During the visit, companies from the two countries inked 29 agreements worth more than €9.4bn ($11bn). They also announced the formation of the UAE-Germany Investment Council to facilitate investments. (CONTINUED - 1045 WORDS)
