The Algerian Energy Company (AEC), affiliate of state oil giant Sonatrach announced on 25 September that its new 80,000m3 desalination plant at Corso, 40km east of Algiers has hit full capacity.
AEC says that the plant partially started up on 4 July, three weeks after energy minister Mohamed Arkab urged the speeding up of completion (MEES, 23 June). (CONTINUED - 95 WORDS)
