Jordan is set to begin a nine-well drilling campaign in February. Whether it can tempt foreign firms into its exploration acreage is another matter. 

Jordan’s Minister of Energy Saleh al-Kharabsheh told state television on 30 November that the country’s National Petroleum Company (NPC) will start drilling three “medium-depth” appraisal wells at Jafr block from February 2022.
