Jordan’s state National Petroleum Company (NSC) has signed a deal worth $174mn with privately held Kuwait Drilling Company (KDC) to drill 80 new wells over the next four years at the country’s key Risha gas field. 51% of KDC is owned by a consortium of Kuwaiti businesses, while state firm KPC holds a 49% stake.
In place gas reserves at Risha were hiked to 12tcf from around 3tcf last year following a previous drilling campaign (MEES, 22 November 2024). (CONTINUED - 296 WORDS)
