Adnoc LNG signed two new LNG supply deals covering 2.55mn t/y during this week’s Adipec conference. The largest deal is a six-year supply agreement with Vitol for “1.8mn t/y of post-2022 LNG volumes.” The second deal is to supply Total with 0.75mn t/y for 2021 and 2022.

Abu Dhabi has shaken up its LNG marketing over the past two years. Adnoc LNG (Adnoc 70%, Mitsui 15%, BP 10%, Total 5%) runs a three-train 5.8mn t/y liquefaction facility on Das Island and until 31 March 2019 some 90% of this was supplied to Japan under a long-term sales contract.
