Tunisia has been granted just under $750mn in loans over the past month by international institutions aiming to bolster its struggling economy.

On 24 June, the EU approved the disbursement of €150mn ($169mn) to the north African country as part of its second Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) program which aims to support “fiscal consolidation and sustainable economic growth.” Tunisia has received €650mn in MFA funds since 2015.
