US major ExxonMobil announced on 13 June that its Gulf Coast Growth Ventures joint venture with Saudi petchems giant Sabic will proceed with building a 1.8mn t/y ethane cracker and chemicals facility at the port of Ingleside in Texas.
Earlier that day Sabic informed the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) the project has obtained all necessary regulatory approvals including environmental permits. Exxon says construction will begin by September with start-up anticipated in 2022. (CONTINUED - 176 WORDS)
