Israel’s Tamar gas field, the country’s sole producer, saw output hit a quarterly record of 1.019bn cfd in Q2 this year, the first time that the country’s gas output has topped 1bn cfd. “Tamar is essentially running at capacity right now,” Keith Elliot, East Med chief of operator Noble tells his firm’s Q2 earnings call on 3 August.

Noble is also operator of the under-development 22tcf Leviathan field. Development here is “nearly 60% complete” and on target for first gas deliveries “by year-end 2019,” the firm says. Milestones completed in Q2 include the drilling of the four production wells (with completion underway), installation of the first subsea ‘tree’, and finishing pipelay for gathering lines.
