Saudi Aramco has signed a joint development agreement with US process technology companies CB&I and Chevron Lummus Global (CLG) under which the three firms will scale up and commercialize Aramco’s Thermal Crude to Chemicals (TC2C) technology.

The companies will integrate Aramco’s crude to chemicals process with CB&I’s ethylene cracker technology and CLG’s hydroprocessing technologies. The plan “bypasses conventional refining steps by employing a proprietary direct conversion process,” Aramco says. (CONTINUED - 357 WORDS)
