Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) says it has received a world record low US¢9.45/kWh bid for a concentrated solar power (CSP) plant in a tender for the 200MW fourth phase of a solar park being developed 50km south of Dubai City at Seih al-Dalal. This would be the world’s biggest CSP project.

Dewa says it received four bids in total: from Saudi firm Acwa Power with China’s Shanghai Electric; Masdar with France’s EDF and Spain’s Abengoa; France’s Engie with Power China and US firm Solar Reserve; and China’s Suncan with Saudi Arabia’s Alfanar. (CONTINUED - 713 WORDS)
