On 3 June, Abu Dhabi state offtaker Ewec announced the signing of a 21-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with developers for Taweelah C, a 2.6GW CCGT power plant due online in 2029. Ewec had launched the tender for the project in July 2024 (MEES, 26 July 2024).
Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) will be the lead developer (60%) alongside an international consortium of Saudi Arabia’s Al Jomaih Energy and Water Company and Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries. (CONTINUED - 143 WORDS)
