Transits through the Strait of Hormuz have begun recovering since the US and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 17 June (MEES, 19 June). Lloyd’s List tracked at least 181 transits in the following days, though this likely understates actual traffic. Of these, 118 involved non-Iranian vessels and 63 were Iranian-linked.

“On the face of it, things are looking up,” Lloyd’s List Editor-in-Chief Richard Meade said during the firm’s weekly webinar, adding that traffic could reach around 50% of pre-conflict levels by the end of the week. (CONTINUED - 195 WORDS)
