Saudi Aramco’s investment in its gas reserves is paying off this year, with output on course for its biggest annual increase since at least 2016. Total gas output – sales gas and ethane – increased by more than 6% year-on-year over the first half of the year, and the second half performance should be stronger still. Associated gas output will rise further through Q3 as Opec+ crude production cuts are eased (see p10), and two major gas projects are planned to start operations before the end of the year.

Output averaged 11.85bn cfd last quarter, up sharply from 11.09 bn cfd for the same period last year, marking the second consecutive quarter with year-on-year growth in excess of 6%. (CONTINUED - 733 WORDS)
