After years of gas output declines and falling exports has Algeria finally turned the corner? From rock-bottom output of just 6.65bn cfd (5.82bcm) in April 2020 during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, sales gas output rebounded to a record 11.84bn cfd for February this year.

With output above 11bn cfd for each of the first three months of 2021, Q1 also saw record quarterly output of 28.98bcm (11.37bn cfd), a massive 61% hike from the record low quarterly figure of just 18.13bcm (7.03bn cfd) seen in Q2 last year (see chart). (CONTINUED - 1582 WORDS)
