Thirteen companies and consortia have been prequalified by Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to build a strategic products reserves terminal to the east of ‘Amman during 2014-15. The terminal will store 250,000-300,000 tons of white products (gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel and diesel) and 8,000 tons of LPG. The engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract will include road tanker loading and unloading, power supply and water handling facilities. The ministry received 51 applications for prequalification (MEES, 11 October).

The prequalified companies and consortia are: China Huanqiu; India’s Punj Lloyd; China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau; Turkey’s Enka Insaat ve Sanayi; Spain’s Sener Ingenieria y Sistemas; South Korea’s Lotte Engineering and Construction and Hyundai Engineering; Dubai’s Al Habtoor Leighton; France’s Entrepose Projets; Egypt’s ENPPI and Petrojet; Spain’s OHL and Jordan’s MID Contracting; India’s Essar Projects; China Dalian International; and Italy’s Saipem.
