Iranian authorities are racing against the clock to repair gas processing facilities damaged by Israeli strikes earlier this year, amid fears of gas shortages in the upcoming winter. Teams have been deployed by the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) to lift debris at onshore South Pars processing plants struck in March (MEES, 20 March).
On 20 July, Vice President Mohammad-Jafar Ghaempanah said that the attacks had knocked out 230mn m3/d (8.12bn cfd) of production, equivalent to 35% of Iran’s daily sales gas output of around 650mn m3/d (22.95bn cfd).
