Saudi Arabia’s Acwa Power is planning to expand its wind power capacity and explore water desalination and green hydrogen projects in Morocco.
The company has secured a permit to add 40MW to its existing 120MW Khalladi wind power plant near Tangier, with the expansion to be completed in the next two years “to meet growing industrial demand,” general manager Omar Alaoui Mhamdi told Bloomberg’s Asharq Business on 24 June.
