*Egypt continues to eye gas imports from neighboring Israel and Cyprus as domestic output keeps plunging, falling again in April to 3.90bn cfd, the lowest level in a decade (MEES, 12 June). One bright spot has been resurgent gas production from the Western Desert, where US firm Apache Corporation is the largest producer (MEES, 22 May).
