On 29 April, Iraq completed a 5km, 20-inch pipeline delivering 70-80mn cfd of associated gas to NGL plants operated by Basrah Gas Company (BGC). A second phase expansion to 100mn cfd is planned soon.

Iraq is suffering acute LPG shortages due to upstream oil capacity shut-ins, which reduced NGLs processing (MEES, 10 April). The raw gas volumes will produce 500-600 t/d of LPG, 1,800 b/d condensate and 55-65mn cfd of dry gas which will be supplied to power plants according to Izzat Sabir, the oil ministry’s deputy for gas.
