Abu Dhabi-listed Dana Gas says Egypt has settled its overdue receivables bill after making a $20mn payment. An earlier $50mn payment was made at the start of the year (MEES, 30 January). Dana’s Egypt receivables stood at three-year low $38mn at the end of 2025.
Egypt has been making progress in paying off its arrears to in-country producers and Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi says all arrears will be settled by June (MEES, 17 April). The Dana payment shows that he is making clear progress on achieving this. Mr Badawi says arrears currently stand at $770mn, having peaked at $6.1bn in June 2024, when he took office (MEES, 5 July 2024). (CONTINUED - 230 WORDS)
