QatarEnergy signed a 20-year deal to buy up to 3mn t/y LNG from Woodside Energy on 29 October. The deal will start in 2030, with volumes coming from the under-construction 16.5mn t/y Louisiana LNG project.
It is the second long-term purchase agreement QatarEnergy has signed with an American LNG producer. Last week, the firm announced it signed a similar 23-year 4mn t/y deal with US LNG producer Cheniere starting in 2031 (MEES, 23 October). (CONTINUED - 234 WORDS)
