Morocco’s troubled 150MW Noor III concentrated solar power (CSP) plant at Ouarzazate in the south of the country is again offline in a “forced outage” that Saudi operator Acwa Power anticipates will last until November.

“ACWA Power announces that on 21st March 2024 it received a notice from the Project Company of a leak in the Hot Molten Salts Tank. Preliminary analysis of the situation indicated to a forced outage till November 2024,” Acwa says in a 24 March filing to the Saudi Tadawul exchange.
