London-listed Energean on 22 February began producing from the second Karish field, with output from one well at 1.2tcf Karish North adding to the three wells of the 1.4tcf Karish main field.

With the subsequent 29 February start-up of the second gas export riser linking the subsea to the Energean Power FPSO, this “enables utilization of the FPSO’s maximum gas capacity” of 8bcm/y (780mn cfd), up from 6.5bcm/y (630mn cfd), Energean says, with the additional well adding “redundancy and flexibility to meet the demand requirements of Energean’s gas buyers.” (CONTINUED - 370 WORDS)
