The 500MW of solar projects that Tunisia awarded back in 2019 (MEES, 20 December 2019) are finally beginning to edge forward.

On 26 September the World Bank’s IFC announced that it is providing the UAE’s AMEA Power with “up to $26mn in debt financing, including $13mn in concessional finance,” which alongside an equal-sized package from the African Development Bank “will support the development, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance” of a 100MW solar plant in Tunisia’s Kairouan governorate.
