US services firm Baker Hughes and partner GE are expected to deliver a 200mn cfd gas processing plant in Iraq’s Dhi Qar province by the second half of next year according to Iraq’s Oil Minister Hayan Abdulghani.

Speaking in a 6 August video posted by the ministry, Mr Abdulghani says that progress at the project has reached 60%. Baker Hughes finalized the contract in late-2021 (MEES, 24 September 2021) for the facility which will receive feedstock from the 250,000 b/d capacity Gharaf oil field operated by Malaysia’s Petronas and the 90,000 b/d Nasiriya field operated by state firm Dhi Qar Oil Company (DQOC).
