On 21 November Egypt’s 7.2mn t/y ELNG export terminal at Idku exported its first cargo since tentative attempts in early October to restart exports were dealt a blow by the halving to 410mn cfd of crucial imports of Israeli gas following the war in Gaza (MEES, 17 November). The Adam LNG tanker loaded a cargo on 21 November according to Kpler.

According to a MEES source at Idku, joint operators Shell and Petronas have received confirmation from state gas firm EGAS that they will receive approximately 650mn cfd of gas, equivalent to approximately five cargoes over the course of December, signaling the gradual restart of exports.
