Russian state firm Rosatom and Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP), a subsidiary of Korean state power firm Kepco, on 25 August signed a $2.5bn deal that will see the latter build turbine islands for the 4.8GW El Dabaa nuclear power plant which Rosatom is building on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.
“According to the agreement, the Korean company will construct some 80 buildings and structures at four units of the power plant and will procure and supply equipment and materials for the turbine islands,” Rosatom said in a statement. (CONTINUED - 153 WORDS)
