Green Power Morocco, a consortium of UAE’s Amea Power and local firm GPM Holding, on 26 July started construction of a 34MW solar PV project south of Tangier with the firms aiming for 2023 completion.
The project comprises a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with French utility firm Veolia through its local subsidiary Amendis. Amea Power says the project will cost $37mn and is being financed through Morocco’s Attijariwafa Bank. (CONTINUED - 148 WORDS)
