London-based Greek firm Energean has spudded the Hermes exploration well on Block 31 offshore Israel where it is targeting 1.1tcf reserves. Hermes is the fourth well of a five-well campaign that kicked off with May’s modest 0.28tcf Athena discovery on Block 12 (MEES, 13 May).
This was followed by an appraisal well at the 1.4tcf Karish main field and a development well at 1.2tcf Karish North (MEES, 24 June). (CONTINUED - 166 WORDS)
