Latest official Chinese data show crude imports of just 8.83mn b/d for July, the second lowest figure since mid-2018. The only lower figure was June’s 8.77mn b/d (MEES, 22 July). Average import volumes of 10.02mn b/d for the first seven months of 2022 are down 4.2% year-on-year.

Whilst a by-country breakdown for July is not yet available, figures from data intelligence firm Kpler indicate arrivals of 1.63mn b/d from Saudi Arabia, up 400,000 b/d on June’s three-year low of 1.23mn b/d. (CONTINUED - 144 WORDS)
