The services subsidiary of Oman’s state-led PDO (PDO-S) announced on 28 June that it has been contracted by TotalEnergies to deliver seismic acquisition and data processing at the sultanate’s Block 12 gas/condensate development. Block 12 is being developed by TotalEnergies (80%) alongside Thai state firm PTTEP (20%). PTTEP announced in December that the near-term focus would be on acquiring new 3D seismic and reprocessing existing data (MEES, 24 December 2021).

PDO says “this agreement extends until the last quarter of 2024 and comes as a continuation of the existing co-operation between two companies.” It adds that this is the third commercial deal for PDO-S since its inception in April 2021. The first deal was with Sweden’s Tethys in December for 3D seismic at Block 56 (MEES, 11 February). (CONTINUED - 121 WORDS)
