Exports from the first unit of Kuwait’s 615,000 b/d Al Zour refinery have now begun. State-operator Kipic announced on 18 November that it had sold the first cargo, a 55,000-ton (270,000 barrels) shipment of naphtha which will be delivered to China. The first cargo of low sulfur fuel oil (LSFO) has also been sold, with data intelligence firm Kpler stating it has been sold to BP. Reuters reports that the cargo is due for loading on 28-29 November at a $17/ton premium to Singapore prices on an FOB basis and that the “tender that was closed on 18 November.”
