Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has “invited three international consultants to prepare a feasibility study” for the “design and construction” of a new oil products terminal at its Mina al-Ahmadi refinery according to a 10 October report in local daily Al-Anbaa. KNPC’s $15.6bn Clean Fuels Project (CFP) had boosted combined capacity from its Mina al-Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah refineries from 736,000 b/d to 801,000 b/d which has enabled the export of high-value, low-sulfur refined products internationally (MEES, 12 August).
