UAE engineering firm NPCC has got off to a quick start in 2022. The firm has secured $3.2bn worth of offshore contracts in two major gulf producers over the past week. Firstly, on 3 January, the firm announced that it had been awarded contracts worth AED8.2bn ($2.23bn) by Saudi Aramco for 2 packages of the offshore Zuluf field expansion project. Aramco is expanding Zuluf from 825,000 b/d to 1.4mn b/d. Next up came a 5 January $946mn award by Abu Dhabi’s Adnoc to “maximize efficiencies while maintaining production capacity of 275,000 b/d” at the offshore Umm Shaif field. The Umm Shaif EPC contract is due to be completed in 2025.
