BP has signed strategic framework agreements with Abu Dhabi’s Adnoc and Masdar to partner on a range of clean energy initiatives in the UK and UAE. The three agreements were signed during the visit to the UK of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Zayed. Masdar is the renewables arm of state firm Mubadala, while both BP and Adnoc have stated commitments to lower the carbon intensity of their traditional oil and gas operations and to diversify into low-carbon energy.
According to BP, the three agreements have “the potential to lead to billions of dollars of investment into clean and low carbon energy, creating potentially thousands of energy jobs.” (CONTINUED - 229 WORDS)
