Egypt’s state power firm EEHC hiked power prices by up to 26% from the start of the 2021-22 financial year on 1 July, with typical domestic users seeing a 16% hike to an average price of E£0.83/kWh ($0.053/kWh) according to MEES calculations. Prices for commercial users remain unchanged, albeit higher at all usage bands than residential tariffs (see table).
