Algerian state-power firm Sonelgaz CEO Chaher Boulakhras said this week that feasibility studies for a 400kV electricity interconnector between Algeria and Libya are “advancing at a very good pace.”

Mr Boulakhras described the planned interconnection as “complex” and “capital intensive” due to its 520km length which would link up Algeria’s Hassi Messaoud and Libya’s Ghadames (see map). (CONTINUED - 415 WORDS)
