Kuwait state news agency Kuna on 10 May reported a “limited fire” at the 1.5mn b/d greater Burgan field. A KOC statement says that two personnel “working for a contractor” had been “lightly injured” and sent to KOC’s Ahmadi hospital. A senior official said that oil production operations at the 1.5mn b/d field have “not been impacted.” Burgan accounts for 50% of KOC’s crude oil production capacity.
