In contrast to most Asian countries where Saudi Arabia is the dominant supplier, in Thailand the UAE has long been a clear number one. This taste for UAE crude has seen Thai state firm PTT develop significant upstream stakes in Abu Dhabi (MEES, 24 December 2020).
