Norway’s Scatec, Fertiglobe, a JV between Egypt’s OCI (58%) and UAE state firm Adnoc (42%), Egypt’s TSFE sovereign wealth fund and Egyptian contractor Orascom have chosen the US’ Plug Power to deliver a 100MW electrolyzer to produce green hydrogen at Egypt’s Red Sea port of Ain Sukhna.

The firms first announced their plans in October (MEES, 15 October). They plan to produce green hydrogen as feedstock “for up to 90,000 tons of green ammonia production” at Egyptian Basic Industries Corporation’s (EBIC) 730,000 t/y fertilizer plant at Ain Sukhna. (CONTINUED - 381 WORDS)
