Greek firm Energean’s flagship project, Israel’s 3tcf Karish development, could see further delays. Having already been pushed back from Q1 this year to Q4 (MEES, 12 June 2020), the firm now reveals first gas could even be delayed until early 2022. The firm says the project was 87% complete as of 31 December and that it “continues to target sailaway of the Energean Power FPSO hull from Singapore to Israel in late-3Q 2021 with first gas around year-end 2021.”

But this timetable is contingent on a full ramp-up in manpower at the Admiralty yard in Singapore where the ship is being built and the workforce has plateaued at around 1,000 since December, mainly due to the coronavirus pandemic. (CONTINUED - 170 WORDS)
